New Moon in Sadge: Inspiration or Escape?

We have to be careful with this new moon, and use its energy to bring about an inspired vision and a new attitude built upon spiritual and philosophical beliefs alligned with our personal truths...otherwise we could just end up running from and escaping the ugly truth and reality of Saturn/Pluto.

This new moon is sextiling Neptune, Jupiter, and Chiron, offering us quite a bit of inspired vision, built upon spiritual beliefs, and can attune us to our natural faith, hope, and optimism. But we have to actively seek this out and apply it to the difficulty of the Saturn/Pluto square. Its important not to use this aspect to escape and ignore the deeper issues at hand (Saturn/Pluto) through blind optimism (sometimes characteristic of Sadge), but to use it to transform and heal ourselves through creating a deeper relationship with Spirit, perhaps by exploring spiritual and metaphysical principles, meditation, prayer, etc. Lord knows with this stressful Saturn/Pluto square, we all need some inspiration and spiritual food to feed our souls. We need a breath of fresh air, and a new perspective, and this Sadge new moon is just what the cosmos ordered.

This new moon squaring Uranus in Pisces could create some tension, so that we are forced to make necessary changes and adjustments that better align us with our higher selves. Sagittarius wants us to explore the abundance of opportunities and choices for our futures, and from this, create an inspired vision that we can somehow integrate within the Pluto/Saturn dilema, as that is the main issue. With Uranus involved, we might be making some sudden and radical changes to our goals, ideas and beliefs. Furthermore, we must take care not to get lost in the adventure (for the sake of adventure) and in the abundance of choices, but to create a vision, that we can build upon during the next New Moon in Capricorn, which is "all business".

Loosely conjunct Venus, this New Moon carries love and relationship themes with it, echoing the same energy of Saturn in Libra square Pluto. Perhaps this Moon will usher in new perspectives and attitudes regarding relating to our nearest and dearest, based on "higher" ideals and philosophies that Sadge represents. Maybe we can offer ourselves and our loved ones the freedom to grow and expand in ways that are right for them, so that they may discover their own personal truths.

Mars trining this new moon from Leo gives us the energy and enthusiasm to create our inspired visions that are true to our hearts. We can go forth with our new beginings during this new moon with gusto!

No matter how expansive, positive and hopeful we feel under this New Moon, the reality of the Saturn/Pluto square is the primary focus now. This New Moon can act as a support to the heaviness that we all feel, if we are willing to use it wisely and productively and not fall into escapism and blind optimism.

So, go into the light, but don't get stuck there. Go back to reality (Saturn/Pluto) and bring with you a little touch of inspiration and magic.
