Obtaining special event insurance is always a good idea because when you get a lot of people together in one concentrated area there’s always a chance that something could go awry. Obtaining concert insurance is an even better idea because there’s unquestionably a high level of liability when you have thousands of excitable people, loud music and alcohol in one venue. Here are some of the highest recommended concert insurance related policies.

General Liability

This is the most standard coverage and will be required for any venue. These policies cover costs associated with any claims where you are deemed to be at fault.

Property Damage

This coverage is intended to cover costs for damage caused to the leased property.

Personal Property Damage

Personal property damage insurance will cover costs associated with damages caused to your own property while providing a concert. Given the high cost of microphones, speakers, screens and stage props this coverage is highly recommended. Other types of concert insurance policies include:

Event Cancellation: Concerts can be canceled for a plethora of reasons, so you’ll want to make sure this covers several different possibilities such as performer illness and inclement weather.

Rental Equipment Coverage: Many performers rent equipment for their performances, some of which can be quite costly.

Commercial and/or Host Liquor Liability: You may not provide alcohol at your events, but if you do it’s a good idea to be properly covered to do so.
